Systems Thinking and Process Improvement

Overview
Curriculum

Do you wonder why something takes longer than it should? Or how you can objectively look at a system or process to make decisions to save money, time, or resources?  Process Improvement could be the answer to learning how to do more with less and reduce frustration and turnover!

Subject matter expert Christina Tankersley has been teaching and consulting in project management and process improvement for 25 years. Christina will explain what Systems Thinking is and how it works as well as the benefits of and guidelines for it. She’ll demonstrate how visuals help document systems. You’ll learn how to use diagrams to map out systems and processes, how feedback loops work, and what elements should be included in a process diagram.

Christina will show you how to identify the specific processes that need improvement. You’ll learn how to collect and document process data, analyze the process, and design a new process that addresses and rectifies the problem. You’ll also learn the implementation steps that are necessary for onboarding the new process.
